One Child At a Time – Tutoring

One Child At A Time (OCAT) offers FREE tutoring services to students in grades 9-12 who live in the City of Staunton, City of Waynesboro, or Augusta County.  OCAT was started on the premise that every youth should have access to the tools they need to succeed regardless of their ability to pay.

Tutoring is offered on a one–to–one basis.  Students generally receive one (1) hour of instruction a week. Students work with their tutor on homework assignments; review material in preparation for quizzes and tests; and study incorrect answers to master material.  The length of the tutoring is decided by the tutor and student; however most tutoring matches last until the end of the class/end of semester.

To register your child, please call the office at 942-6757.
