Suspended and Expelled Youth

Our current service in this category is the Pathway Program. This program provides students the opportunity to be positively engaged during a suspension or expulsion from school.

How it Works

Students are provided with academic tutoring, community service, or life skills programming on Mondays through Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM, and Fridays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

The student’s parent or guardian must call to schedule an intake interview prior to program participation. The parent or guardian must also provide transportation, lunch, books, and supplies. The school will be asked to provide the student’s assignments for completion during the program.

Who Should Participate

Students in 6th through 12th grade who are suspended (for at least three days) or expelled from Staunton, Waynesboro, or Augusta County schools. Also, students wishing to prepare for GED testing.
