Inclement Weather Policy
The Pathway schedule is based on each student’s home school and the location at which they are dropped off or picked up.
At no time should a parent risk the safety of their child to get them to Pathway. If you are unable to bring your child to Pathway, please call to let us know that your child will not be attending that day.
If weather turns bad, parents may pick up students early at their own discretion.
If the Pathway staff becomes concerned about weather conditions, they will contact parents to arrange for transportation home.

For Augusta County Students who are dropped off at the Staunton Office
If Augusta County Schools is on a 1-hour delay, on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday students must be at the Nelson Street Teen Center by 9:30 and picked up at 2:00.
If Augusta County Schools is on a 1-hour delay, on Friday, students must be at the Nelson Street Teen Center by 9:30 and picked up at 12:30.
If Augusta County Schools is on a 2-hour delay, on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday students must be at the Nelson Street Teen Center by 10:30 and picked up at 2:00.
If Augusta County Schools is on a 2-hour delay, on Friday, Pathway will be closed.
If schools are closed, Pathway is closed.
For Augusta County Students who are dropped off at the Pathway site in Waynesboro
If Augusta County Schools is on a 1-hour delay, on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, students should be at the Pathway site in Waynesboro by 10:00 and picked up at 1:30.
If Augusta County Schools is on a 1-hour delay, on Friday, students should be at the Pathway site in Waynesboro by 10:00 and picked up at 12:00.
If Augusta County Schools is on a 2-hour delay, on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday students should be at the Pathway site in Waynesboro by 11:00 and picked up at 1:30.
If Augusta County Schools is on a 2-hour delay, on Friday, Pathway will be closed.
If schools are closed, Pathway is closed.
For Staunton Students
If Staunton City Schools is on a 1-hour delay, on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday students must be at the Nelson Street Teen Center by 9:30 and picked up at 2:00.
If Staunton City Schools is on a 1-hour delay, on Friday, students must be at the Nelson Street Teen Center by 9:30 and picked up at 12:30.
If Staunton City Schools is on a 2-hour delay, on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday students must be at the Nelson Street Teen Center by 10:30 and picked up at 2:00.
If Staunton City Schools is on a 2-hour delay, on Friday, Pathway will be closed.
If schools are closed, Pathway is closed.
For Waynesboro Students
If Waynesboro City Schools is on a 1-hour delay, on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, students should be at the Pathway site in Waynesboro by 10:00 and picked up at 1:30.
If Waynesboro City Schools is on a 1-hour delay, on Friday, students should be at the Pathway site in Waynesboro by 10:00 and picked up at 12:00.
If Waynesboro City Schools is on a 2-hour delay, on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday students should be at the Pathway site in Waynesboro by 11:00 and picked up at 1:30.
