Parent Project

This program is for parents and other caregivers of strong-willed or out-of-control adolescents. The curriculum teaches concrete identification, prevention, and intervention strategies for the most destructive of behaviors. Teens are encouraged to participate in the teen component that runs simultaneously with the parent component.

How it Works

Classes meet for a total of twenty-six hours over eleven weeks. Locations vary.

Who Should Participate

Referrals are currently accepted through FAPT, Court Services, Valley Community Services Board, truancy officers, school guidance counselors, private family practitioners, pediatricians, and Office on Youth staff.

Price

Fees are calculated on a sliding scale based on the parent’s ability to pay. There is a maximum cost of $100 per family. Cost includes a book, dinner, and childcare.
