Free tax preparation may be available if you earned $50,000 or less in 2011. Taxes can be filed through e-file to get you your refund fast. Taxes are prepared by certified volunteers. Tax preparation is available in Stuarts Draft on Tuesday nights and in Staunton on Thursday nights. Call for more information or to make an appointment at 540-221-1654.
If you come, please bring
- Photo identification
- Social Security Cards & birth dates for all tax payers and dependents
- All tax forms received from employers, banks, etc (W-@s, 1099s, etc)
- Copy of last year's tax return, if available
- Supporting document for all other income, expenses, deductions, credits
- If direct deposit is desired, bring bank routing number and account number
